My name is Skeeter but your welcome to rename me, I am approximately 1 year old and was found running at large around Iowa Falls, Iowa last week. As you can see I am a nice looking Border Collie, not perfect but my disposition is stellar. I'm a really great guy and just want to find people of my own.
A really nice family picked me up and worked hard to locate my owner. That's their daughter in the photos above, I really like her and they have two others dogs that I love to play with.
The nice people were able to get in touch with my owner but she told them that she did not want me any more, she lives with her parents and does not have a job. So I'm staying with them for a while since they would rather help me find a home as oppose to making her take me back, not telling what she would do with me. As it is she left me with her parents and they sent me someplace else and then something else happened but I can't remember what...next thing you know I was lost on the streets of Iowa Falls, Iowa.
Would you give me a home?
I need to tell you a few things about myself though. First my old owner never took me to the vet so I do need to be neutered and I need to have a heart worm test and my vaccinations taken care of...and one more thing
a while back I got my back paw caught in a trap, it does not look real pretty but I'm cool with it, doesn't bother me at all. I hope it won't stop you from wanting me...
I had a little fun today, the nice people that are taking care of me brought me out to a farm and I got to see sheep. The lady there said I had a really good temperment, was easy to train and a quick learner, I even got to pester Ricky while he worked the sheep, he totally ignored me so I went over and laid down to watch him, he's way better and more interested in the sheep then I was, but I think I could learn to like them if you really thought I needed to.
Another thing the sheep lady said that I'm not over the top excitable, I can get excited, ooh that's fun, but if you let me know I'll control myself and work real hard to do what you ask of me.

Anyway, that's the sheep lady's e-mail, she will get in touch with the nice people that are caring for me. They can't keep me for long though, they have a family and two other dogs to take care of and there are no shelters here in Hardin County where I am so please don't wait too long.
